Fr. Ryan Salisbury

I’m Fr. Ryan Salisbury.  I was born and raised in Hastings NE.  I attended Hastings Catholic Schools from K-12th grade and graduated in 2005.  My first six years of college were spent in three different schools, two years at Hastings College, one year at UNL and three years at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward.  The years at Hastings and UNL I majored in elementary education, and then I finally realized God was calling me to the priesthood, so I went to St. Gregory; graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy in 2011.  I then studied at St. Charles Borromeo seminary in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, graduating with honors in 2015 with two Master Degrees in Divinity and Scripture.  I spent my first two years of priesthood (2015-2017) as the Parochial Vicar at St. Vincent de Paul in Seward NE.  I taught religion classes there in the K-5th grade school, along with also teaching 7th grade religion at David City Aquinas.  I joined St. Patrick’s in June of 2017 as the Parochial Vicar and Freshman Scripture teacher at Pius X.

My hobbies and interest include: a love for traveling and trying different local eats.  I love cooking, Husker football, college football, exercising, biking, teaching and having a good laugh.
