Matt Sestak

Hello, my name is Matthew Sestak! I was born and raised here in Nebraska in a small town called Madrid and attended the public school called Perkins County Schools, graduating in 2014. I then went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In the spring of 2018, my student teaching experience was at Pius X High School where I got to fully understand the importance of Catholic schools! I graduated from the University this past May (2018) with a degree in Secondary Education and an endorsement in Coaching. Being Catholic and a follower of Christ has always been my identity. It was Christ’s plan that led me to St. Patrick Catholic School here in Lincoln! Teaching is also a passion of mine so it was only fitting that He’d lead me to St. Patrick’s for my first ever teaching job! This is my first year teaching, where I teach 6-8 Math and English. In my spare time, I like to workout, watch sports (especially the Huskers and Broncos), hang out with friends, paint, and dive into the wonderful world that is Catholic theology! I am so blessed and excited to start my teaching career here at St. Patrick’s
