School Picture Day – August 28

School Picture Day is scheduled for Friday, August 28th during the school day.

• Every child will have their picture taken and be featured in the yearbook and class composite.
• Absent students will have their picture taken on retake day – October 16th.
• There are no order forms with photos.  Directions on how to order online will come home with proofs in September.
• If parents need two proofs for separate households, please email the office and we will let the photographer know.

Dress Code:
• Students are more than welcome to wear their school uniform for pictures
OR
• Uniform Bottoms with a dress-up top (no jeans)
• Girls may wear dresses with leggings/ shorts underneath.
• NO dress shoes please – sneakers/ tennis shoes only
• NO sleeveless/ tank-top style tops or dresses without cover
• Students will be going out to recess and eating lunch in whatever they wear for the day

Dismissal Reminder

Please display your family’s nametag on your car visor at dismissal. This will help our dismissal process go quicker! Nametags were given out at Back to School Night. If you need a new one, please contact the office.

Volunteer Interest Survey

As a small Catholic school, we rely on every family to contribute their time and talents to make events throughout the year successful. Each family is asked to choose at least their TOP 2 volunteer preferences.  Certainly, you are welcome to choose more.  If you are unable to donate your time, we ask that you consider a monetary donation to help offset the cost of school activities and celebrations. May God bless you in your generous gift of sharing your time, talent, and treasure with the St. Patrick School Family!

TeamMates

St. Patrick School is excited to continue our partnership with TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln! TeamMates mentoring program matches young people with one-to-one mentors. Mentors are volunteers from the community who have made a commitment to this program and their student. Matches meet together at school each week for approximately one class period.

If you are interested in nominating your student for a mentor, or becoming a mentor yourself, please reach out to our School Counselor Mr. Schneider (marcus-schneider@cdolinc.net) for more information. Students may also be nominated by a teacher or staff member, or they can nominate themselves.

Special Olympics

Villa Marie is excited to be expanding our Special Olympics program to athletes and families throughout the Lincoln community! We are currently enrolling athletes and peer partners for:

• 🏀 Basketball
• 🎳 Bowling
• 📣 Cheer
• 🏃 Track & Field — beginning this spring

Our goal is to create more opportunities for children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be known, loved, included, and empowered through athletics, friendship, and community.

Home & School Association

The Home and School Association needs your help to achieve our mission of supporting our St. Patrick School family. We would love to welcome you as a volunteer and/or new member! If you can help, please contact St.Patrick-HSA@cdolinc.net.

Extended Care Hours

We are making a slight adjustment to our Extended Care hours this year. Most students have been picked up by 5:30pm in the past anyway, so this will just allow us to better plan for staffing hours. The hours for this year are:

• Before Care: 7:00am – 7:45am
• After Care: 3:30pm – 5:30pm

Dress Code Reminders

• For items with the St. Patrick logo – the ArtFX store has closed. It will reopen during 2nd quarter.
• For non-logo items, including shorts, pants, skirts, and jumpers you may shop at ANY store.  Old Navy, Walmart, Amazon, and JCPenney are popular choices!
• Regardless of where you purchase items, they must be of appropriate length for all students.  Please ensure ALL skirts, skorts, and shorts are close to knee-length or just a bit higher (within 2 inches).

Gently used uniforms will be available for families in the new uniform room by appointment.

Used Uniform Shop

The used uniform shop is always accepting gently used uniforms. We have a good stock of inventory for most sizes. Junior High skirts are also ready to go! The Used Uniform Shop can be visited during summer office hours or opened by appointment. Used uniforms will also be available during Back-to-School Night.
