Learning Fair

The Learning Fair Committee is looking for donations of any size for our upcoming annual raffle.

They are in need of the following items:

• Gift cards (of any value)
• Toys (new, in packaging)
• Games (new, in packaging)
• Sports Memorabilia
• Admission Passes or Tickets

Any donations can be sent to the school office. Please note that they are for the Learning Fair when dropping them off or sending them.

Holy Moments

Pray every morning this week. This week is an opportunity to pause and grow in your relationship with God. Let’s try for a moment right now. What’s one thing you’re feeling worried about? What’s one thing you’re feeling excited about? What’s one thing you need help with today? God cares about every part of your life and he wants you to bring all these things to him. And remember, some moments are holy. Some moments are unholy. And you decide!

Tips to Create This Holy Moment:
– Instead of looking at technology right when you wake up, spend 5-10 minutes talking to God.
– Listen to praise and worship music on your commute.
– Get to Mass a few minutes early and spend time in silent prayer.

Check out Nebraska’s Summer Food Service Program. The program which provides free summer meals to kids and teens (ages 1 – 18) may be available in your area at select locations. The meals help ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is out for the summer. There are numerous open summer meal sites throughout the state of Nebraska. Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving is May 1st, 2024

As you know, the mission of Saint Patrick Catholic School is to form students who possess strong religious values, academic integrity, individual responsibility, and a clear sense of citizenship. The school assists the parents in their role as the main educators of their children, offering a complete education, both secular and religious.  In order to continue this mission, St. Patrick is dedicated to improving our school facilities by adding an outdoor classroom to our school grounds. Area Events

CK Sisters Outdoor Spring Workday

Sat., May 4, 1:30-4:30 p.m. We will be planting our vegetable garden, cleaning up flower beds, mulching and cutting trees. Helpful items to bring include wheelbarrows, shovels, gloves, pruning/lopping shears, hoes, pickups and chainsaws. Children are also welcome!  Mark your calendars now and contact Sister Mary Angela at sr.mary-angela@cdolinc.net if you would like to come and help.  Please also print and complete a liability form (one per adult; children added to adult form.) Villa Regina Motherhouse, 4100 SW 56^th St., about 2 miles west and south of Pioneers Park. (Walk-ins also welcome.)

 

 

 

Registration for summer camps at Pius X is now open. All camp and summer workout information is subject to change. The costs listed are for early registration. Costs may increase after the registration deadline. Some camps offer a discount for a family that is registering more than one child. For more details, please contact the coach for each camp. What is Scrip? “Scrip” turns everyday shopping into cash for the St. Patrick Church and School. Purchase gift cards at face value in advance to use at checkout, instead of paying with credit, debit card, check or cash.

How Does It Work? Purchase gift cards at face value from local merchants who designate their own discount percentage ranging from 1.5% to 30%. The discount amount translates to profit for the St. Patrick!

• $50 Marcus Theatres gift card at 8% = $4 St. Patrick profit
• $100 Walmart gift card at 2.% = $2.50 St. Patrick profit

Purchase SCRIP before shopping by filling out this form and turning it into the parish office or call in your order to the rectory at 402.466.2752 and we can prepare your order ahead for you. SCRIP can  also be purchased at the parish office or after weekend masses.

We’re excited to share that our school is participating in Cash for Classrooms, part of Casey’s Rewards. This opens up St. Patrick School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students.

Box Tops are now digital only! You can download the app Box Tops for Education, register and select St Patrick School, and then scan eligible receipts containing Box Tops products. Online retailers that are eligible: Instacart, Jet.com, SamsClub.com, Shipt, Target.com, Target Pick-Up/Drive-Up, Walmart Grocery, Walmart.com.

Traditional Box Tops are being phased out and we are no longer receiving enough to mail in so please direct your efforts towards the digital app. Thank you to everyone who has contributed box tops over the years!
