Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week Celebrations

Soup Supper:  The annual St. Patrick School Grab n’ Go Soup Supper will take place on Friday, February 2 from 5:30-7:00pm in the social hall.  The menu, which consists of broccoli cheddar, chili, chicken noodle, and cinnamon rolls, will be prepared by St. Patrick students and staff.  Supplies are limited and need to be preordered by Sunday, January 28 at 10:00pm. To order online, use this link:  stpatricklincolnschool.com/soupsupper  Oldest and only students in each grade will also bring home a flyer with an optional order form to fill out.  This is a free will donation fundraiser and the money raised will be used for classroom needs.  Thank you for your support!

Family Entertainment:  Enjoy a family friendly show at 5:30 in the gym! Toby Kid will be presenting the comedic program, ‘Friendship Adventures’ at 5:30 in the gym.  The students might remember his hilarious pirate show last year – we can’t wait to have him back!

BINGO:  Join us Sunday January 28th for Bingo in the gym from 2-3pm (Hosted by Home and School Association).   Everyone is welcome  –  we will have popcorn and prizes.  There is no charge to play!  We are still in need of volunteers to help. Starting this week, the Extended Care charge notification letters were emailed via FACTS or the Rectory depending on the situation.

Beginning next week the Negative Lunch Balance notification letters will be emailed out utilizing the email address we have in Powerschool.

If you have any questions on either of these accounts or balances please contact Tracy Wesely, Parish Accountant, at the Rectory 402-466-2752 or tracy-wesely@cdolinc.net.

Holy Moments

Ask someone how their day was and really listen to their response. When you give someone your complete attention, you show them that they are important and respected—and that’s a powerful thing to do. Remember, some moments are holy. Some moments are unholy. And you decide!

Tips to Create This Holy Moment:
– Make eye contact when you are in conversation with someone.
– Keep your technology away during conversations.
– Ask people questions and remember small details they tell you

Retirement/ Teacher Opening

Mrs. Neujahr has announced she will be retiring at the end of this school year.  We have been so blessed having Mrs. Neujahr as a part of our school family and look forward to celebrating her as we get closer to the end of the school year.  Due to Mrs. Neujahr’s retirement, we will be looking for a teacher for 4th grade for 2024-25.  If you know of someone who would be a great fit at St. Patrick School – have them email Kristine-Placek@cdolinc.net to learn more!

Conference Sign Ups

Parent / Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday Feb. 13 and Thursday Feb. 15.  All families are asked to sign up for a time to meet with the homeroom teacher.  If you do not sign up for a time, one will be scheduled for you.  We typically have 100% participation.

Parent / Teacher Conferences are a great experience – the teachers truly look forward to meeting with you!  Click the link below to schedule your conference time…

If you are signing up on a computer – you have to click ‘Got it’ at the bottom-right of your screen before you can Submit (this is a change made by Sign Up Genius)
Jr. High conferences should be scheduled with the homeroom teacher ONLY.  Jr. High teachers will be available for walk-in conferences for non-homeroom families during their open slots.

Fundraisers

SCRIP

What is Scrip? “Scrip” turns everyday shopping into cash for the St. Patrick Church and School. Purchase gift cards at face value in advance to use at checkout, instead of paying with credit, debit card, check or cash.

How Does It Work? Purchase gift cards at face value from local merchants who designate their own discount percentage ranging from 1.5% to 30%. The discount amount translates to profit for the St. Patrick!

  • $50 Marcus Theatres gift card at 8% = $4 St. Patrick profit
  • $100 Walmart gift card at 2.% = $2.50 St. Patrick profit

Purchase SCRIP before shopping by filling out this form and turning it into the parish office or call in your order to the rectory at 402.466.2752 and we can prepare your order ahead for you. SCRIP can  also be purchased at the parish office or after weekend masses.

We’re excited to share that our school is participating in Cash for Classrooms, part of Casey’s Rewards. This opens up St. Patrick School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students.
The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you buy from Casey’s and use their rewards program you can simply turn your points into a donation to our school.
Help St. Patrick School make the most of this program and learn more at Caseys.com/schools.
