One Day Without Shoes + Crazy Sock Day

One Day Without Shoes:  St. Patrick School will be participating in a service project to provide shoes for the needy in our community.  Sponsored by Cornhusker Bank, collection bins will be brought to school to collect shoes that you would like to donate.  All kinds and sizes of shoes will be accepted, even if they are dirty, worn out, or have holes in them.  Shoes that are unusable are sold for recycling material.  Those that are in good condition are given to People’s City Mission.  To donate, send them to school with your children through April 12.

To bring attention to this important cause, students may wear CRAZY socks Wednesday April 10th.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Neujahr at diane-neujahr@cdolinc.net.  Thank you for helping the less fortunate!

Autism Awareness

On Friday April 12th, students and staff will have the option to wear a blue shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms in support of friends and family who have autism.  Showing support and bringing awareness can help create a world in which autistic individuals are fully supported, championed and celebrated!

Welcome Baby Theo to the Brammier Family!

Mrs. Brammier served on the St. Patrick Staff as a para in the PreSchool classroom this school year.  Prayers for the Brammier family are appreciated!

Holy Moments

Tell a mentor in your life what they mean to you. If you’re not sure who to thank, consider this: Who gave you the best piece of advice recently? Take some time to reach out to that person and let them know how they helped you! And remember, some moments are holy. Some moments are unholy. And you decide!

Tips to Create This Holy Moment:
– Do something special to say thank you—sing a song, create a piece of art, or bake a treat to show your appreciation!
– Write a personal letter explaining how this person has helped you.
– Say extra prayers for this mentor, asking God to bless them.

Fundraisers

SCRIP

What is Scrip? “Scrip” turns everyday shopping into cash for the St. Patrick Church and School. Purchase gift cards at face value in advance to use at checkout, instead of paying with credit, debit card, check or cash.

How Does It Work? Purchase gift cards at face value from local merchants who designate their own discount percentage ranging from 1.5% to 30%. The discount amount translates to profit for the St. Patrick!

  • $50 Marcus Theatres gift card at 8% = $4 St. Patrick profit
  • $100 Walmart gift card at 2.% = $2.50 St. Patrick profit

Purchase SCRIP before shopping by filling out this form and turning it into the parish office or call in your order to the rectory at 402.466.2752 and we can prepare your order ahead for you. SCRIP can  also be purchased at the parish office or after weekend masses.

We’re excited to share that our school is participating in Cash for Classrooms, part of Casey’s Rewards. This opens up St. Patrick School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students.
The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you buy from Casey’s and use their rewards program you can simply turn your points into a donation to our school.
Help St. Patrick School make the most of this program and learn more at Caseys.com/schools.
