St. Patrick School Family of the Day

As a school we pray for the School Family of the Day after mass, and we ask your family at home to include the St. Patrick School Family of the Day in your family prayer.  If you don’t already pray as a family – this is a simple way to get started.

December 6th – Montgomery Family
December 7th – Moore Family (Alaina)
December 9th – Moore Family (Caleb)
December 10th – Musau Family

December 6th Family Time Challenge

Twenty-One.

Optional but recommended: Take the face cards out of your deck of cards.
Objective: Get to 21 without going over. Use strategies to add your numbers together rather than count on your fingers.
How to play: The dealer deals two cards per person. Players look at their own cards and add the numbers together. If a player is not close to 21, he/she can raise a finger to ask for additional cards, one at a time. Once everyone is finished asking for cards, players take turns revealing their sums. (Bonus: At the end of each round explain the strategies you used to add your cards.) The person closest to 21 without going over wins that round.

SCRIP

What is Scrip? “Scrip” turns everyday shopping into cash for the St. Patrick Church and School. Purchase gift cards at face value in advance to use at checkout, instead of paying with credit, debit card, check or cash.

How Does It Work? Purchase gift cards at face value from local merchants who designate their own discount percentage ranging from 1.5% to 30%. The discount amount translates to profit for the St. Patrick!
