It’s Getting Chilly!

Now is the time of year to send your child with a sweatshirt or light jacket everyday.   We take students outside often for recess, PE, nature walks, etc.  even if it is going to be warm in the afternoon, they may need a jacket in the morning.

If you are in need of a jacket or coat for your child – please email their teachers or the school office and we will get them one!

Diaper Drive

October is Pro-Life Month!  To help support all the women who have chosen life, the St. Patrick Altar Society along with the Lincoln Diocesan Council of Catholic Women are hosting a Diaper Drive.  All size diaper will be accepted, however sizes 5 and 6 are in most need.

The St. Patrick Catholic School and the St. Patrick CCD classes have decided to challenge each other to see who can bring in the most diapers to donate to this worthy cause.  Diapers will be collected starting Wednesday, October 20 through Wednesday, October 27.  Since the CCD classes are smaller than the school classes, the winner will be determined by doing a percentage based on the number of students in each class. The winning class will receive an ice cream party!

Let’s show our support for this worthy cause and have fun with this lighthearted rivalry!  No matter what grade wins, the true winners are the babies and toddlers in need of diapers!

Spirit Day – Pep Rally

All students are welcome to dress in Spirit Day attire for our Fall Pep Rally on Monday Oct. 25th.  Spirit Day attire is jeans or uniform bottoms with a St. Patrick Tshirt or any green/shamrock theme top.  Go Shamrocks!

We have St. Patrick Shirts available in the office for $10 in size Youth M and Youth XL while supplies last…

Smart Cookie Celebration

Our students are smart cookies!

All St. Patrick School Families and Parishioners are invited to join us for a Smart Cookie Celebration in honor of our student achievement on the ITBS Standardized Tests.  St. Patrick students scored in the Top 5 in five categories among all schools in the Lincoln Diocese.  Your continued support and prayers are a significant reason for this success.  We would love for you to join us!

Wednesday Nov. 17th.  8:00 a.m. Mass with Msgr. Perkinton (St. Patrick Alumni) and Fr. Schweiger.  Cookie celebration to follow immediately in the St. Patrick Gymnasium.

Adults and family members who are attending, please call the school, or email your RSVP to Kristine Placek: Kristine-Placek@cdolinc.net

St. Patrick School Family of the Day

Beginning in September, we will be praying for a St. Patrick School Family each day.  The School Family of the Day will be listed on our Lunch + Events Calendar.  As a school we will pray for the School Family of the Day after mass, and we ask your family at home to include the St. Patrick School Family of the Day in your family prayer.  If you don’t already pray as a family – this is a simple way to get started.

  • October 25th – Hattan Family
  • October 26th – Ho Family
  • October 27th – Hobelman Family
  • October 28th – Jimenez Family
  • October 29th – Jimenez Castillo Family

Oct. 25th  Family Time Challenge

Caught You Praying

Reading is everywhere, but prayer isn’t always right in front of us.  This week, make a group effort in your home to see how many prayers you can lift up as a family.  There’s before dinner and before bed, but what about on the way to school or while you’re waiting in line at the grocery store?  There’s the Hail Mary and Prayer Before Meals, but what about saying the name, “Jesus”, or a simple, “Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful day,” or reflecting on a passage from Scripture?  And there’s nothing like a peaceful hymn to calm a crazy room.  So, be creative and intentional and…start praying!

Veteran’s Day Assembly

The St. Patrick Knights of Columbus are hosting a Veteran’s Day Assembly Thursday Nov. 11th for St. Patrick Staff, Students, Veterans and Families. If you plan to attend, please join us at mass at 8 a.m. and the program will follow, concluding by 10 a.m.

We are asking students to wear a shirt of their choir in red, white, and blue with school bottoms.  God bless America!
