Monday May 3rd – No School

St. Patrick School will be closed Monday May 3rd.  In honor of St. Joseph the Worker Feast Day on May 1st, Bishop Conley recently announced that all schools in the Lincoln diocese can close for a day.  We pray this day can be a joyful day for teachers and school families to reflect on the hard work we have all put in this last year.  St. Joseph the Worker – pray for us!

Teacher Appreciation Week

The 1st week in May is Teacher Appreciation Week!  You can help us celebrate our AMAZING teachers throughout the week…

  • Students and Staff Spirit day on Friday May 7th – wear St. Patrick shirt or green on top with uniform bottoms or jeans
  • Write a note or email your children’s teacher to thank them for all that they do
  • Have your child draw a picture or write a note to their teacher

Join Hands Day

At this annual event we will plant flowers around St. Patrick’s and Mahoney Manor.
We will plant annuals around the 10 commandments statue, and put some mulch out.
Any specific landscaping requests or concerns could be communicated with Ken Dolezal (402-570-3371) or kendolezal@gmail.com

May Crowning

St. Patrick School will celebrate our May Crowning on Tuesday May 4th.  Students are welcome to bring flowers to place at the feet of Mary and encouraged to wear a blue (uniform or non-uniform top) with their jeans or uniform bottoms.

May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual held during the month of May.  A statue of the Blessed Virgin is crowned with a garland or crown of flowers honoring Mary as “the Queen of May.” The queen symbol was attributed to Mary because she was a perfect follower of Christ, who is the absolute “crown” of creation. She is the Mother of the Son of God, who is the messianic King. Mary is the Mother of Christ.

Spring Music Program

The Spring Music Program will be held on Wednesday May 12th at 7 pm.  All students and families who feel comfortable with the plan listed below are welcome to attend.  We are so happy to be able to hold this in-person program and celebrate the wonderful school year we have had!

  • All classes PreK-8 will perform
  • Each school family will receive 4 tickets to the program (families may distribute tickets to whomever they choose – family, friends, other families, etc…)
  • Tickets will come home Friday May 7th
  • Children who will set on a parents lap do not need a ticket
  • Tickets will be numbered and randomly assigned
  • Attendees will be grouped by 4 and distanced as the gym allows
  • All performers and attendees over the age of 4 will be required to wear a mask inside the building at all times.
